The King's Chambermaid on Candy AI Shorts: the servant who dresses the king
Episodes 1 and 2 are free · 18+ · Affiliate link
The King's Chambermaid Candy Shorts series sends a kitchen servant to dress a married king during Harvest Court, with the Queen close enough to hear. The opening pair costs no tokens on Candy Shorts.
A dropped ring and a raised hand
The servant speaks first, and her line sets the tone on Candy Shorts. The Queen sent her to dress the king, she says, but gave no order about speed. About twelve seconds later a courtier calls her a clumsy wretch and offers to deal with her. At 0:19 the king stops him cold, with a threat to take his hand.
Before the first swipe you know the setting, the marriage and the risk. On Candy Shorts, the Queen herself is on screen before the first minute ends. If a medieval castle sounds more fun than another suburban kitchen, that opening minute settles it.
A cold marriage and a warm kitchen
The royal marriage is political and cold. The king falls for the servant who comes each morning to dress him, in a castle where the Queen hears all. The twist is in the last clause: the woman from the kitchens wants more than a place in his bed. Seven days of Harvest Court add a clock.
This title reached the Candy Shorts library in October 2026, badged New Episodes and tagged fantasy and maid. The new episodes log lists it with that month's other arrivals.
Both free episodes, scene by scene
I played episodes 1 and 2 back to back, and the scenes below come in the order they aired. The pair matches almost to the second: the final line of each lands at 0:56 on the player.
Episode 1: Fetch my ring
The king grumbles that his wife has sent him her prettiest servant, then asks for his ring. When a courtier moves to punish her, the king defends her. She answers that no one has stopped a hand for her before. The Queen appears at the door to say the court is waiting. The king replies that the court can wait on its king.
Before he leaves, he asks how he can see her again that evening. She tells him she turns down his bed at midnight. The episode closes on three words, "Be in it," and the screen cuts before anyone moves.
Episode 2: The door the Queen cannot open
He is in the bedchamber early, ahead of her. She says she watched him from the kitchens for a year, because he thanks the servants. When the gallows come up as a real danger, the reply is "Then make it worth hanging for." She gives him a choice: ask her to stay, or she goes back downstairs.
Then the Queen tries a locked bedchamber door and asks why it is barred. The king's answer goes out through the door, repeated at full voice: the king sleeps alone tonight. The free part of Candy Shorts ends there.
Why it stops at Mmm
This guide rates it spice level 3, Mmm. Expect nudity and sex scenes after the paywall, kept short or partly framed, while the plot does the driving. The free pair is all glances, promises and a barred door. On Candy Shorts the court intrigue, with the Queen one wall away, carries as much weight as the romance.
Who walks the castle halls
Candy.ai files this title with its Candy characters, so the cast is computer-made and no actor lent a likeness to it. The free episodes show the king, the servant, the Queen, a courtier and a guard. None of them is called by name in either episode. Candy Shorts offers subtitles in seven languages, Japanese included, if you watch on mute.
Next to Sworn to the Queen
The obvious comparison is Sworn to the Queen, a castle story already reviewed here. There, a queen chooses a lowly guard and holds the power. Here the roles flip: a king falls for a servant, and his wife is the obstacle. Sworn to the Queen sits one notch higher on this guide's scale, so this one leans on intrigue.
The bill matches as well: Candy Shorts charged 12 tokens apiece for the final three episodes in October 2026, with Premium. That makes 36 tokens to see who wins, the same as Sworn to the Queen. Premium cost $13.99 a month for US viewers then. Its grant of 100 tokens pays for both castles, with 28 left.
Long live the king, or not
Watch it if secret meetings, barred doors and a spouse in the next room sound like your kind of evening. The whole arc costs 36 tokens on Candy Shorts, about a third of that monthly grant.
Skip it if you prefer stories where the scenes arrive early, or you find castle costumes silly. For a household affair set today, at the same 36 tokens, The Maid My Wife Hired trades crowns for a suburban home.
Episode by episode
Episode 1 plays free. Episode 2 plays with a Premium account, with no tokens. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 need Premium plus 12 tokens each, 36 tokens to finish the series.
